When burning the candle for the first time, it is important that the entire upper layer of wax melts evenly as far as possible to the edges. Burn the candle for a maximum of 3-4 hours at a time. Before lighting the candle each time, cut the candle wick to a length of about 0.5 cm. This helps the candle burn more cleanly and prevents excessive soot.
